Product Description
  • UV fused silica lens assembly, integrated into the mechanical housing with Galilean structure
  • Optimized design for diffraction limit, no internal focus, high adjustment precision
  • Capable of adjusting both beam size and divergence angle of incident laser beams
  • Customization of beam expanders with various wavelengths and magnification ratios available
The LBTEK High-Precision Zoom Beam Expander consists of three sets of ultraviolet fused silica (UVFS) lenses, integrated into a mechanical housing in a Galilean configuration. The relative displacement of the first and second lens groups changes the beam expander's magnification, while the relative displacement of the second and third lens groups changes the beam expander's divergence angle. The beam expander's entrance port is engraved with position markings corresponding to each magnification, while the exit port is engraved with position and distance markings corresponding to each magnification. For collimated incident light, rotating the entrance and exit ports until the corresponding position markings align produces a collimated beam at the corresponding magnification. The standard LBTEK High-Precision Zoom Beam Expander is available in magnifications of 1-3X, 1-4X, and 2-10X, with wavelengths of 355 nm, 532 nm, and 1064 nm. Its diffraction-limited design and lack of internal focus make it ideal for high-power laser processing. In addition, LBTEK supports the customization of variable magnification beam expanders with different wavelengths and magnifications. For details, please contact LBTEK technical support.
Zoom Beam Expander, 1X-4X
  • Material:UV fused silica, diffraction-limited optimized design
  • Galilean structure, no internal focus
  • 1X-4X beam expansion adjustment with high divergence angle tuning precision

The LBTEK 1X-4X Zomm Magnification Beam Expander features optical elements made of ultraviolet fused silica (UVFS) and a design optimized for diffraction limits. The lens assembly adopts a Galilean structure and lacks an internal focus, meeting the application requirements of most scientific research and industrial scenarios. The mechanical housing for wavelengths of 532 nm and 1064 nm is a fixed-length structure, and the total length does not change with rotational adjustment. It is designed with M4 threaded holes for convenient installation in optical systems and can also be clamped using a clamp. The beam expander for wavelengths of 355 nm has a variable length structure and can be mounted using an SM1-FR or a clamp. Standard operating wavelengths are available at 355 nm, 532 nm, and 1064 nm, and the magnification of the incident laser beam size can be adjusted from 1X to 4X.

Beam Expander Adapter
  • SM2 threaded end
  • Ø40.5mm smooth inner diameter, locked with M2 screws
  • Compatible with 1X-3X zoom beam expanders

The LBTEK high-precision zoom beam expander adapter is compatible with the 1X-3X zoom beam expander series. It clamps the beam expander and allows it to be attached to optomechanical assemblies such as SM2-threaded kinematic mounts and coaxial mounting plates. The clamped component is secured with a side-mounted M2 hexagonal screw, preventing rotation and slippage and ensuring alignment of the clamp with the optical axis. The M2 hexagonal screw can be adjusted and tightened using a 1.5 mm hexagonal wrench. A grooved design on the adapter allows for rotational adjustment of the adapter's clamping position on the zoom beam expander, preventing obstruction of the beam expander's engraved lines and facilitating confirmation of magnification and alignment.

The SM2-A40 adapter allows the 1X-3X beam expander to be mounted onto the TXY2 mechanical component.
