LBTEK Multi-Focal (MF) DOE is fabricated using N-BK7 glass substrate and Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) material, consisting of two layers of 1-inch glass substrates and a single LCP layer with designed phase, making it a single-wavelength device. The multi-focal DOE is a diffractive optical element used for focal shaping, capable of focusing incident light into a fixed number of equally spaced, uniformly distributed focal points along the axial direction. It utilizes the principle of light diffraction to design the phase and employs photo-alignment to form the designed phase structure in the LCP film, thereby modulating the phase of the incident light. This causes the light to disperse into different diffraction orders, which are then focused by a lens to form multiple focal points. Therefore, multi-focal DOEs are typically used in conjunction with objective lenses to meet the multi-focal requirements in general applications. Multi-focal DOEs are primarily used in laser deep cutting, such as cutting transparent glass, sapphire, etc. Compared to traditional laser cutting, Multi-focal DOEs leverage multiple axially distributed focal points to achieve deep cutting of materials, resulting in a smoother and more uniform cutting surface. LBTEK offers standard multi-focal DOEs with a working wavelength of 1064 nm, featuring 3 or 5 focal points, compatible with different objective lens models. In addition to standard products, LBTEK also provides flexible customization of parameters. For specific customization needs, please contact LBTEK Technical Support.
