Product Description
  • Expanding or reducing the diameter of incident parallel beams to a fixed multiple
  • Achromatic design with low aberration
  • Sliding lens adjustment ring (non-rotating lens), effectively reducing beam deviation
  • Compact size for easy installation and fixation
  • Flexible customization of parameter specifications available
LBTEK's Fixed Magnification Achromatic Beam Expander (FBE) is an optical system based on the Galilean telescope structure, capable of expanding (or reducing) the diameter of a parallel incident light beam to a fixed magnification. Its low-aberration achromatic design is optimized to provide a transmitted wavefront error less than λ/4, minimizing the impact on the M² value of the expanded beam. Each beam expander is threaded for easy integration with LBTEK lens tubes and other optical components. LBTEK also offers a variety of custom services, including customization of specific dimensions, operating wavelengths, beam expansion ratios, and other specifications. Achromatic Fixed Magnification Beam Expander with 400-700 nm AR Coating
  • Galilean structure
  • Low aberration, wavefront transmission error < λ/4, minimal impact on beam quality
  • Threaded design at input/output ends, installation method:wasit clamp

The LBTEK achromatic fixed-magnification beam expander is based on the structure of a Galilean telescope. It consists of a negative lens made of high-transmittance optical material and an achromatic doublet positive lens. It can expand or reduce the diameter of a parallel incident beam within the operating wavelength to a fixed magnification. The transmitted wavefront difference after expansion or reduction is less than λ/4, with minimal aberration and minimal impact on beam quality. The adjustment ring at the waist is used to adjust the divergence angle of the output beam, taking into account the needs of non-collimated beam expansion. During rotation of the adjustment ring, a special mechanical design ensures that the internal lens only moves forward and backward, without rotating with the mechanical ring. This design effectively minimizes beam position deviation during divergence adjustment, making the beam expander more stable and reliable. The input and output terminals are designed with threads of different sizes; the waist can be mounted using a clamp.
